KEN HOLLANDER

Founder and President, Ken Hollander, began his marketing research career with the Procter & Gamble Company at their Cincinnati headquarters where he was a Research Manager in Experimental Research and Technique Development. This section was charged with solving all unique, non-recurring problems for all of P & G’s brands.

Subsequently he became the Associate Research Director at Hallmark Cards in Kansas City, MO, where he was responsible for the design of many of the research techniques that still provide the foundation for consumer research at Hallmark. Ken then moved to the agency side of research, joining Y&R Chicago. At departure, he was Director of Research and responsible for all aspects of the research conducted for all of the agency’s clients.

He then moved to Atlanta, joining the Interpublic Group of Companies as Vice President and Director. His principal responsibility was serving as research counsel to The Coca-Cola Company. Finally, in 1973 he took the plunge and established Kenneth Hollander Associates.

In addition to traditional consumer and business research, Ken is an acknowledged expert in Intellectual Property research, and as such is relied upon by the Federal Courts as an expert witness in marketing research.

Ken was a contributing editor to Advertising, McGraw-Hill, New York, 5th Edition—the most widely used advertising textbook in American universities. He is guest lecturer at Emory University, The University of Georgia, and Stanford University. He also is a guest speaker at many professional organizations, the past Chairman of the Board of Advisors at the University of Georgia’s Masters of Marketing research Program, and the recipient of their Distinguished Practitioner award.
